Long Sutton Seabanks and Salterns walk

North Loop

 

• After about 800m, turn right between houses at Public Footpath sign. After 50 metres go left until reaching the A17. Cross with care. Follow footpath across field towards Garnsgate Hall.

 

• Turn left down Garnsgate Road. After 800m turn right following public footpath, called Haverholme Drove.

 

• Turn right onto the road, passing an old Baptist Chapel in your left. At the end of Huntsgate, turn right into Harford Gate. Bear left after a few hundred metres, following the cycle route signs down Crow Lane, then left again in the direction of Gedney Church.

 

• Follow the road round to the church. Follow footpath through churchyard.

 

• Cross A17 with care. Follow footpath sign with the drain on your left. Keep to path heading in direction of old mill at Gedney Dyke.

 

• At the road, turn right. Follow road past The Chequers, then the War Memorial on your left and the mill on your right.

 

• About 1.2km after the mill, where the road bends to the left, look out for the footpath sign near the hedge. Follow the path to the left, keeping the deep dyke on your right.

 

• At the road turn right and after a few hundred metres, turn right into Green Dyke. Turn left down the Rookery - look for three houses of the same design. Turn right at next junction and follow road to Lutton Church. Cross the road and go down Marriots Gate with the Jolly Crispin on your left. Turn right after a few metres into School Lane.

 

• Near the end of the lane, follow path between two houses, with a white cottage on your left. This path may not be waymarked. Follow footpath for 1.6km until reaching the road Blazegate. Turn left.

 

• Turn right into Marriots Gate. After 800m turn left, following the footpath sign opposite number 33 Lime Walk. Walk to right of leylani and then dyke until you reach the road.

 

• Go right and join  Park Lane. Pass the Masonic Hall on your left. Cross Market Street into Market Place.

From Market Place, go along West Street, past the library and turn left at the end into Station Road.
