The Fens are one of Great Britain's unique natural arenas. Fenscape's Features

Time Lapse Audio Visual
Immerse yourself in the changing landscape of the fens through the seasons.

The Landscape Story
Interact with the world famous naturalist David Bellamy as he uncovers the secrets of the Fens landscape as only he can.

The Drainage Story
To drain or not to drain - take part in the medieval debate surrounding the draining of the fens in our specially designed courtroom. Be a part of the jury and cast your vote as to whether you think it should go ahead.

The Fenlander's Story
Listen to old Martha's endearing tales of life in the fens. She tells it just the way it was and shows you how to use some of the oddest implements from times gone by.

The Apothecary
Visit the Fenland apothecary under the watchful eye of our giant mosquito and find out about the weird and wonderful cures the Fenfolk used to treat illnesses such as Malaria. Could you match the cure to the illness?

The Faerie Story
Imagine, if you will, a different landscape, a banished world occupying the twilight zone between reality and myth where creeping horrors and dead things come out to do their evil by night...

The Survival Story
Play our giant board game and help the Fens wildlife in its bid for survival against the elements and their predators.

The Greenhouse
Peer into the greenhouse at night and eavesdrop on the tropical debates held by the plants whilst they think we're all sleeping!

Fenstrail
Now you've been introduced to the fens, go forth and explore them. The region is full of other discoveries which can take you deeper into the Fens story, find out about the multitude of additional Fenland days out here.
