Description:

The Baytree Owl Centre in Weston, near Spalding, provides a unique interactive experience with one of the largest and varied selections of owls and birds anywhere in the country.

More than 100 owls are on display, some in breeding pairs, some just resting between flights in the arena.

Some birds can be handled under the supervision of the resident falconer.

Flying displays are held most days when Barn Owls, Eagle Owls and Harris Hawks show off their grace and majesty in the air.

Around the centre there are also tropical owls in the Hot House and very rare Mexican Striped Owls. There's also George, the grey squirrel, and a very vocal Secretary bird, which stands four feet tall.

You can round off your visit with a walk around the gift shop and stock up on any falconry equipment you might need for birds of your own.

You can also adopt an owl to help pay for the care the birds need.

Parking is free and coaches are welcome. There is also a licensed bar and restaurant within Baytree Nurseries Garden Centre.

Admission is £2.50 for adults, £2 for senior citizens, £1.50 for seven to 16-year-olds and children under six go free.
