Six free training courses are being run as part of the South Holland Funding Advice Fair, being organised by South Holland District Council and Lincolnshire County Council for volunatry groups in Spalding and surrounding area.Both the training courses and Funding Advice Fair will take place on July 14 at the National Centre of Food Manufacturing, University of Lincoln, Holbeach.
The free training courses will run from 10.30am-2.30pm and the free funding advice fair between 10am-3pm.
Cllr Gary Taylor, South Holland District Council's portfolio holder for Stronger Communities, said: "We are really pleased to be able to offer this free training to representatives of local voluntary groups. It is an excellent opportunity for them to be able to develop the essential skills needed when looking at writing a funding application or putting on an event".
The courses, which are being delivered in partnership with Lincs County Council and Ruth Holmes of Holmes Consultancy Services, are being offered to local voluntary groups, charities, arts and sports clubs, parish councils and community events organisers.
They will cover topics including budget basics, how to deliver services fairly, monitoring and evaluating projects, dispelling health and safety risks, income generation for your organisation and events legislation and licensing.
All sessions will last one hour and all places must be booked in advance.
