Church Street Surgery Sexual Health Clinic, Spalding, is in the running to win a national award.
The service has been nominated under the 'Improving Services for Patients' category of The Practice Based Commissioning (PBC) Vision Awards 2009.
The high profile event recognises and awards the achievements of local GP consortiums which work together with their local NHS commissioners to deliver projects which improve health care services for patients.
After launching just over a year ago, the clinic has provided sexual health and family planning advice, screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections and free condoms to patients. The clinic offers an open door policy to local people and students.
Grant Scott, practice manager, said: "Thanks to the support we had from NHS Lincolnshire and the hard work of our staff we have seen over 500 individuals and a recent survey found that 96% of those surveyed rated the overall experience as 'very good' or 'excellent'."
The sexual health services are available at:
Drop in sessions Monday to Friday 1pm - 2pm
Tuesday 5pm - 8pm
Thursday 2pm - 5pm
