Motorcyclist killed in crash at Sutton Bridge

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a 45-year-old local man was killed in a collision in Sutton Bridge.

Emergency services were called to Bridge Road, Sutton Bridge just after 7pm on Tuesday (August 25) where a motorcycle had been in collision with a blue Vauxhall Vectra driven by a 41-year-old local man.

The rider of the motorcycle, a white and blue 750cc Suzuki, died at the scene.

Police are seeking witnesses to the incident itself or anyone who saw either of the vehicles before the collision occurred.

This brings to 32 the number of deaths as a result of road collisions on Lincolnshire's roads so far this calendar year compared with 26 at the same time last year and a full year total of 51 in 2008.
