Description:
Spalding residents will soon find it easier to travel to Peterborough in the evenings and on Sundays thanks to a new bus service.
Lincolnshire County Council has teamed up with Stagecoach to provide the buses, which will also serve Crowland.
The county council has provided financial support for the new service, which will provide four round trips for shopping, leisure and work trips on Sundays with additional later journeys during weekday evenings.
The new service will start on Sunday, February 15 and be run on a six-month trial basis.
The long-term future of the service depends on how popular it is and how much it is used during the trial period.
New timetable information leaflets will be available from local libraries and tourist information offices in the area, Peterborough Bus Station or from Lincolnshire County Council by telephoning 01522 782070.
