Description:
Lincolnshire Police are advising women to avoid walking or cycling alone at night after a cyclist was attacked in Pinchbeck. The 39-year-old victim was cycling near Paragon Labels,in Wardentree Lane, Pinchbeck, towards Pinchbeck Road, at about 10pm when she saw a man standing at the end of the lane. She stopped when the man spoke to her and was dragged from her bike and pulled down a dark, deserted, disused railway track. She was able to get free and ride off on her bike after two cyclists disturbed the offender. As she got to Pinchbeck Road she was stopped by a motorist who asked for directions. Police are appealing for the motorist and the two cyclists to contact them. They would also like to hear from anyone who saw anything in the area around 10pm on January 29. The only description of the attacker is that he was white, English, of medium build and wearing a dark Puffa jacket. Women are being warned to avoid walking or cycling alone after dark, and if this is unavoidable police advise sticking to well-lit populated areas. They are also advised to ensure a partner, relative or friend knows where they are going and has a means of contacting them. Anyone with information should contact Spalding police on 01775 722233 quoting incident number 395 of January 29, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.Blog
