Description:
There is now even more family fun to be had at Springfields Outlet Shopping and Festival Gardens in Spalding thanks to the launch of brand new activity walks.
The Springfields Activity Walks are new for 2009 and are being launched over the Easter weekend. They are special routes around the Festival Gardens which combine challenging, educational questions with fun activities.
The walks, which have been introduced following visitor feedback, are suitable for children of all ages and there is a chance to win a Springfields £25 gift card in a regular prize draw. There are two routes - the Red Tulip route and the Blue Tulip route - which go through different parts of the gardens.
The Springfields Festival Gardens are a beautifully landscaped area featuring Chelsea-style celebrity showcase gardens, including designs by Charlie Dimmock, Chris Beardshaw, Kim Wilde and Steven Woodhams, and a spectacular Japanese Garden by Sansui Design.
The gardens also feature the magnificent Springfields Display Fountains which are the first of their kind in the UK and combine music, water and lights to dazzling effect. Regular seasonal displays will delight and amaze visitors.
Every participant is given a question sheet and by following the trail around the Gardens they will be able to find out the answers. The questions are themed around the gardens themselves and wildlife that can be found in the gardens.
Taking part is free and quiz sheets can be picked up from the Springfields Information Point.
Tracy Turnell, communications manager at Springfields, said: "The Festival Gardens are well loved by visitors of all ages but we are always keen to keep evolving and developing and ensuring we remain the region's premier outlet shopping and leisure destination.
"We always listen to feedback to Springfields and the introduction of the activity walks is as a direct result of what visitors have been telling us. We are sure the routes will prove to be entertaining and challenging for children of all ages."
