Description:
A whole host of fun family activities including a massive Easter Egg hunt, an Animal Roadshow and Activity Walks have been lined up at Springfields Outlet Shopping and Festival Gardens in Spalding this Easter (10-13 April).
Children will love the main attraction every day over the Easter weekend, which will be a huge Easter Egg Hunt in the Festival Gardens at Springfields.
Young people can collect an entry form at the Springfields Information Point (charge payable) and are challenged to hunt for smaller eggs hidden throughout the Festival Gardens. Once found, these can be exchanged for a delicious chocolate Easter Egg. Each day, everyone taking part in the hunt will also entered into a prize draw to win a large Easter Egg donated by Thorntons.
There will also be the chance for children to get up close to animals in the Easter Animal Roadshow. Fluffy and cute critters including chicks, bunnies, ducklings, guinea pigs and a piglet or goat will be on site on Good Friday and Easter Saturday.
Easter Weekend sees the launch of the Springfields Activity Walks, new for 2009. The free walks are special routes around the Festival Gardens which combine challenging, educational questions with fun activities. The walks are suitable for children of all ages and there is a change to win a £25 Springfields gift card in a regular prize draw.
There will be a face-painter on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, and popular children's characters will be dropping by on Good Friday and Bank Holiday Monday.
On all four days of the long weekend there will be children's amusements including a hook-a-duck stand and buzzer games, as well as daily displays of the fantastic musical fountains.
The ever-popular Spalding Water Taxi is launched for the 2009 season on Good Friday. The Water Taxi is a relaxing 30 minute cruise that links Spalding town centre with Springfields. Information about sailing times can be picked up from the Springfields Information Point.
Tracy Turnell, communications manager at Springfields, said: "Easter at Springfields is always a great time and as usual there is lots going on that will amuse and entertain the whole family.
"The Easter Egg hunt will be a lot of fun in our wonderful Festival Gardens and we know visitors of all ages will love the visiting animals."
