"Book a bus" scheme comes to Spalding and South Holland

Residents will soon be able to "dial a bus" to take them to appointments, shopping, or just to meet friends with the launch of a CallConnect service in Spalding and South Holland.

Lincolnshire County Council has teamed up with South Holland District Council to provide a service from 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday for journeys anywhere within the service area.

Bookings can be made up to seven days in advance, or with just two hours notice and the bus service can be used for any purpose, including visiting many of Spalding and South Holland's top attractions, such as Ayscoughfee Hall and Gardens, Baytree in Weston or Springfields Outlet Shopping and Festival Gardens.

It is available to those who were previously members of the Dial A Ride service, those unable to use conventional bus services because of age or disability, and when no bus service is available in your area.

If the bus service from your area is infrequent, you can also use CallConnect.

Home pick-ups are available in certain circumstances.
