Public health staff from NHS Lincolnshire continue to monitor the swine flu situation and are asking people in Spalding and South Holland to do their bit to stop the spread of the disease.Director of Public Health and Partnerships, Dr Mandy Bretman said: "We continue to work with partner agencies and local authorities to monitor the situation and keep our plans under review."
If you have recently travelled back from Mexico or one of the affected countries and have flu like symptoms, stay at home and call your GP or NHS Direct on 0845 46 47. Alternatively visit NHS Choices www.nhs.uk for further information.
The public are being asked to keep good respiratory and hand hygiene to reduce the spread of germs in light of swine flu.
• Catch it - Germs spread easily. Always carry tissues and use them to catch your cough or sneeze.
• Bin it - Germs can live for several hours on tissues. Dispose of your tissue as soon as possible.
• Kill it - Hands can transfer germs to every surface you touch. Clean your hands as soon as you can.
Make sure your children follow this advice.
