Spalding's Springfields hosts weekend of outdoor fun

It is time to get healthy and get outdoors - that's the message this weekend at Springfields Outlet Shopping and Festival Gardens in Spalding with the Great Outdoors Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, May 16 and 17.
.

Retailers at the shopping and leisure destination plus various partner companies will be demonstrating, showcasing and promoting their products and services.

The event is being held between 11am-4pm on both days in the new covered mall and the aim of the weekend is to promote getting healthy and having a good time in the great outdoors.

There will be information available on a range of activities and displays from Springfields stores; Mountain Warehouse, Reebok, Tog24, Edinburgh Woollen Mill and Coloroll.

Spalding's Pro-bodies Gym will be demonstrating some of their equipment and the Spalding Amateur Boxing Club will be on hand to help visitors find out how to become a member and get involved.

On the Saturday Tydd St Giles Golf & Leisure Estate will be on site to invite people to join the club and answer any questions people may have about becoming a golfer.

Chevrolet will be displaying a Captiva vehicle with a tent and camping display plus Spaldng Water Taxi will be promoting their unique service from Springfields to Spalding Town Centre.

Tracy Turnell, Springfields communications manager, said: "The Great Outdoors Weekend will showcase all the great equipment and exercise we have to offer as well as provide an opportunity for other local organisations and companies to show what they can provide. It is set to be a great summer so it is a perfect time to get prepared and get active outdoors - and Springfields is here to help!"
